Let me down once again // Umer Shah Jehan

Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me down once again,
With the bellicose broken-and-
shattered heart and soul.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me hate my own self once again,
With tear-storm in my eyes and
never-ending loathe in my mended heart.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me gaze my own shadow in the mirror,
With unending sorrow in my attire of thoughts,
and rage in my eyes , bold enough to ignite me.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me believe that love doesn’t exist,
A mere part of fairy tales it is and
it bows down when hatred knocks at the door.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me dive into my darkness once again,
and look at the scattered sky,
with darkness in my eyes and hollowness in my soul.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me hug hatred finally ,
and embrace the twinkly demons
ready to snatch away my love for you.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me fade away again,
and touch shallowness of shadows
with cruel hand of fate.
Tell me one more beautiful lie,
Let me whisper again on face of time,
And shriek excruciatingly,
“I QUIT!”
