Silence of Confusion // Safa.f Aamir

I was lying on the porch,

Watching the sky

The aura was cold & subtle

Just like  me,

The me who was fighting,

Between whether to hold on & to move on,

But there was a distant silence between them.

The silence of confusion

Which juggling me to decide

The silence of confusion

Which pushed me above the euphoric heart and melancholic head

The silence of confusion

Which was tickling on the solo grieved act at one-half

and on the handful pleasant memories on another half.

The silence of confusion

Which was audible in the noise of words,

Hearable in the threshold of pain,

Sensible in the race of life.

The silence of confusion

Which pierced my heart when I tried to move on,

& doubting my mind when I relied to hold on.

The silence of confusion

Which replaces the trust of your existence in me.
