HEY, YOU MATTER // Salik Ahmed // The Meraki Magazine

Sometimes I truly miss the good things about my past, and I guess we all do because It does seem pleasant. Just like Robin Scherbatsky said, “The future is scary. But you can’t just run back to the past because it’s familiar.”

There are times throughout your life where you don’t need to be bothered with any inspiration, you don’t have to feel constructive about anything since you’ve been so disappointed with people.

Trust me, people, It’s alright to feel that way. Only If you know that this isn’t permanent.

You are AMAZING

Everything descends to our educational system which truly sucks a lot. We let kids go hungry for the grades, regardless of whether they don’t even like that course or don’t have any interest in it. We offer chocolates to the kids who score the most, regardless of whether he cheated and disregard the person who has been struggling, trying.

That’s where It all begins. We start finding shortcuts, alternate ways to get that chocolate. In the meanwhile, we do fail. There are no shortcuts throughout everyday life. There is always struggle and you’ll keep finding chocolates hidden in that struggle only If you work hard enough. We have to quit criticizing people for once and be cheerful for everybody.

Social media gets us into different complexes, rather than copying somebody why not simply act real for once and stop thinking what people may consider you. People will always pass judgment on you, mock you, cut you down. You just gotta center around your goals, ambitions and that is the thing which matters in the end. It’s you who matter. I learned that the hard way.

Be real, be original, and have a little faith in yourself and in God. Don’t let yourself down, chin up.
