Away from hell // Aimen Iqbal

The hell, they say
Is a place they fear,
Full of demons residing
And flames burning there.
They never felt or saw
The place that exists
Behind the invisible mists.
Yet a phantom they believe
Never felt by the flagitious
The pain hidden,
Nor by the honest around.
But He put me in a place
Where I felt a demonic death
Yet breathing.
He put me to introduce
To let me know how it feels
To be burning within the flames
Which do not exist
Yet I choke and turn to ashes.
When its name, I hear
He let me in
To let me know the fear.
I have known since ages
Hell is agonizing
Yet I feel now, how agonizing!
No, I don’t belong
To the pride of flagitious,
But to the ones honored in hell
So that I can know what a hell is
And I can flee away
Without a thought of regret
Even though that hell be covered in
Visible blankets of diamond
But what they didn’t see
Is that invisible curtains of mist
Behind which the demons exist
And the fire ignites
So that I can know and understand
Why I don’t and why I can’t
Belong to these flames veiled in Crystals.
And so away I can rise
To my paradise
Away from this hell,
Away from these walls,
From these choking anxiety
And useless boundaries.
Maybe on my way to Eden
I would meet death
But death marks the end of pain
And hell was the beginning of it.
He put me in hell,
He put me in it
To make me realize
“O lady! here, you don’t fit”.
When you turn to ashes
Even when they see no flame
Argue not
Turn to ashes,
Let the wind carry you away
To the abode of joie de vivre.
